Trend Report: Blue, Purple, Pink and even Gray Hair Dye

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

Though we’ve been dying since the 8th grade, we have noticed a heap of purple, pink, blue, green and even gray hair on the pages of magazines, Fashion Week runways and front rows, and at all the best parties in town. *(It’s like the new “shaving one side of your head” – thank you Alice Dellal for that freakish trend, we love your brother’s girlfriend!). Valentino boldly featured a purple-haired model for their ads in the Feb ’10 issue of Vogue. Vena Cava added simple streak of dye to the ponytails of models walking in their show in New York last week (using a wash-out product called Streakers, according to Style.com). More importantly – I have noticed an obscene amount of hipsters, party-goers, editors, stylist, fashionistas, trendsetters, blah blah taking to the bottle as well. Even the latest phenomenon – Tave Gevinson – has gone grey at 13, and is blogging about her desires to go mermaid green and blue! I “borrowed” a few pics from my ultimate favorite photog Mark Hunter of the last month of parties, runway shoes, and events from his website. xoxo sorry Mark!
