Vanity Fair Hollywood: Oscars® Edition App
This year, Vanity Fair has a week long “Campaign Hollywood” (which we will tell you more about as it happens next week) and will be accompanied by the new Vanity Fair Hollywood: Oscars® Edition app for the iPhone and iPad. This tool will give updates of the nominees, parties and other tidbits between now and the Academy Awards next Sunday February 27th, 2011. The app gives analysis of each nominee, links to trailers of nominated films, Voting pools on Oscar night, links to iMDB of actors and films and live coverage of the Vanity Fair parties with videos and images.

The new Vanity Fair app makes choosing winners across all categories more fun than ever, as it allows you to make picks and get real-time results in the palm of your hands. Improved social-media features allow users to share their votes through Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail. Of course, the Vanity Fair Oscar app wouldn’t be complete without exclusive coverage of the Vanity Fair party. Elle magazines has just released their annual power list, compiled by my personal hero Nikki Finke. I love you Nikki!! She dedicated one whole section among actors, agents, lawyers, to just “The Murdochs” … lol. Elle had a party at the Four Seasons here in Beverly Hills a couple weeks ago to fete the women … I really must say most of these women on here are not what I expect but if Nikki says it’s true I suppose we all better read and learn … the Talent section is particularly telling of the times – Noomi Rapace (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) & Rooney Mara (The Social Network) are pegged as the next go-to girl for leading lady roles, Snooki is on there (!!), as well as our hero Chelsea Handler, the new Wonder Woman (eh), and all right next to Angelina Jolie and Diane Keaton.
