Lauren Brokaw on the Front Page of Refinery 29 today

Twice this week Refinery 29 has pointed out our style star Lauren Brokaw.

Lauren has mentioned that she didn’t think she would be photographed, so she didn’t put much effort into either event as one was in the early am and the other was just a casual stop by event for 30 minutes.

Super cute party with lots to dooooo at the annual In Touch Weekly VMA after party in a transformed parking lot of Bar Marmont. …. Guests played Rockband 3, drank vodka snow cones from “Sno Kon” and ate mini grilled cheese and famous Bar Marmont hamburgers. The Fatburger truck pulled up around midnight for departing guests. The pool and Bungalow 1 were the set for the beautifully edgy and chic Mulberry fête last night…. A trail of glitter lead guests to a wonderland full of hanging roses, giant glittery cats, and carousel horses. Who was responsible for this? Genius Emma Hill, Mulberry’s creative director of course.

A few days ago, I was on the way home from having fro yo with the lovely Nola Singer. My mom called me to tell me that I had to see these bracelets that my 2 nieces brought over to my house. My mom said something like, ” These are rubber bracelets that have a shape, like a poodle or L for lakers, but when you put it on it disappears.” I was expecting something like a slap bracelet ? Something that had a design on it while it was laying flat and then once it was put on the design disappeared…. I was wrong! Elle Fanning and Chateau Marmont star in Sofia Coppola’s new film “Somewhere”

No, that's not a castle, its LA's own Chateau Marmont.

This movie screams, “I’m too f%ck*g cool for school”.

Why you ask?

First off it’s a Sofia Coppola (honorary LA native) film, which guarantees amazing cinematography and original music/+ soundtrack. (I happen to love her movies, but to those who don’t, at least you get the above mentioned) Sophia’s boyfriend head ups the one and only, Phoenix, which did the original music along with a brilliant song by Jullian Casablancas, lead singer of the Strokes (curbside listening service available below).

I also think the cast is pretty frecking cool…. Elle Fanning, Benicio Del Toro, Michelle Monoghan, singer C.C. Sheffield, Simone designer Katie Nehra, Coppola cousin and lead singer of Rooney, Robert Schwartzman (Winward 01), Taylor Locke (Crossroads), Sonja Kinski (Whatever happened to her? She used to be a girl about town) Laura Ramsey, and super model Erin Wasson, whom I loveee.

I am not a Stephen Dorff fan, but maybe this movie will change my mind, and the minds of others :-/

Let’s not forget that Francis Ford Coppola, Sofia’s dad, and brother, Roman Coppola, executive directed and produced this film.

SOMEWHERE WILL BE OUT IN THE US ON DECEMBER 22ND 2010, BUT if you happen to be in Italy in September, you better go see it…. I will have my eyes on you !

P.S. Can we please talk about how gorgeous and adult LA native, Elle Fanning (Campbell Hall), has become!!
