Carrera Escape party at Chateau Marmont 2010 | Nicole Richie and L.A.’s Young Hot Finest pack the Penthouse

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

So what did happen in the notorious Penthouse 64 you ask?

Last night The A List and LFB Media Group hosted the sunglass brand Carrera’s Escape party up at the Chateau to promote their shades. We saw a lot of friends, celebs, beautiful skyline and got some pretty cool t-shirts made. Went down stairs for dinner around 9pm where we were waited upon by a Chateau waiter who was fully obsessive compulsive and actually came by to “straighten” my silver wear at one point and bullied us into all ordering the same beverage. Then when the bill came he asked us if we wanted him to put it on three different checks. We said it was fine and we would just split it – he then brought 3 checks with the entire meal including gratuity split three ways. The bill literally read 1/3 shrimp cocktail – $5.44, 1/3 salad chicken added – $4.83, 1/3 gratuity included 15% – $11.87. Weird! I have never seen anything like that! Have you?? “It” Lounge = Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge *Globes Edition*

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

Drumroll please…….

This years Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge for The Golden Globes was held at the always interesting Zune LA, on Beverly Blvd. (Shout out to Kari and Tracy Pendleton !)

What is Zune you ask?  Zune is Microsoft’s way of incorporating nightlife and events with their Zune Ipod.  During the day, this former photo studio, is Microsoft’s office for Zune, and at night, for fun things like birthday parties, concerts, art exhibits, events, and more!

There are three different floors to explore and see all of the goodies that are up for decoration.  If you would like more info on this subject, call Zune LA at (323) 944 0702 or check out the space at is 8275 Beverly Blvd (although it is usually not open to just anyone.)

The bathrooms in Zune LA are very artsy and fun… we like creative bathrooms!

The themes for this gifting suite for me were: ADORABLE, MINIATURE, PETITE, CUTE LITTLE PACKAGING, AND PERSONALIZATION, all of which I and most girls love!

Now for the good stuff !!

The Fry Girl Inc.

As I checked in, the first thing that hit me was the smell of something amazing…MINI DONUTS!

It turned out to be this adorable little station called, The Fry Girl.

The inner fattie in me came out, as I asked The Fry Girl many questions about this amazing concept including: What are the most popular flavors? What is your favorite flavor? etc.  THEN she tells me their other specialities:

♥ Deep fried candy bars that are fried and served with powdered sugar and drizzled with choc and caramel sauce

♥ Gourmet french fries in black and white truffles, rosemary mayonnaise, thai ketchup, sea salt and ,alt vinegar, chipolte mayonnaise, and garlic aiolo sauce.

♥ Choco-waffles, Ice Cream, and Apple fries

I know, you are thinking heart attack on a plate, right? The most scrumptious aspect of all is that these mini donuts are not bad for you! One mini donut is 26 calories, with 3.5 grams of carbs and 1 gram of fat.

Can I get a hellll yaaa?

I just want one of these because it is sooooo cute, omg.

Um, who wouldn’t want this car lol?

Contender for most adorable business card, everrr

Usana healthcare

The next booth I hit was for Usana Vitamins, and let me tell you, this was such an amazing idea to have at a suite that caters to celebrities.  Why you ask? Because celebs are often very busy and will forget to take their vitamins, and with traveling and stress, need a good night sleep.

Usana wants to make being healthy EASY for you.

Usana customizes these boxes of vitamins for you, after you answer a few questionairs about your life style and habits, then sends you this box that has all of your daily vitamins in one little cute plastic pouch.

The three products that I was told would be beneficial for our readers are MY HEALTH PAK, Melatonin, and Probiotic plus.

My Health Pak – Why this is beneficial:

Its dummy proof….The box opens up to a visual picture of which vitamins you have in your box (exact picture for your convenience).

There is no having to go to all these different vitamin bottles everyday and not having a small place to put them, until you take them.

This kit was made for YOU, not like taking 10 vitamins which you just randomly heard about from Dr. Oz and decided to take.

This is soo cool: You take a 1 minute personalized questionnaire, and then it tells you exactly what you need to take and when.  My results are below.

I was also gifted Usana’s Pure Rest and Usana’s pro-biotic plus.

Pro-biotics are very important because they promote healthy digestion and immune system, and balance out the good and bad bacteria in the gut.

I lovee the packaging for this product, it is soooo adorable and it is so easy to take !  All you do is: Take one of the tiny packets–> empty into any cold drink –> drink up = no bad taste

The last amazing Usana product is Pure Rest, an orange flavored dis-solvable tablet to help aid with sleep.  This product is made with melatonin, a popular natural occurring hormone that regulates ones sleep cycle.  THIS is NOT a sleeping pill, so it doesn’t have any narcotic addictiveness.  Yay for pure rest !

Why was this good to bring to the gifting suite you ask? One reason being is that actors and actresses need sleep in order to look healthy and bbbbeautiful for the upcoming award shows.  One might be anxious and or nervous for The Globes Saturday night and not be able to sleep… que in Pure Rest.  Celebrities also have jam packed stressful schedules, so perfect for a good nights rest, or for when traveling and need to catch up on sleep.  Pure rest is a god send to take because it is natural, non habit forming, and safe.

Foot Petals

The most genius thing ever..

I’m going to tell you a little story…. My Aunt, Liz (Hiii Auntie !!), has a relative who has always had the worst looking feet ever, as a result of not wearing Foot Petals.  This woman, Woman X,  has bunions, blister scars, and gnarled crossed toes… just ugly feet.  According to my mom, she wore shoes that did not have any cushioning (like Foot Petals gives you) and shoes that did not fit her.  My whole life, my mom has always told me to only buy shoes that fit perfectly and to make sure I put cushions and strip thingys so that I did not end up with feet like Woman X.

I had a job once where I had to wear HIGH heels for hourssss; it was miserable.  I was very phobic that I would develop bunions, gnarly toes, ugly blistered heels, etc, so I obvi stocked up on my supply of foot petals.

See the people at Foot Petals really care, and that’s why they made this adorable handy dandy little tin box to keep in your car.  Talk about convenience !

Another great thing about Foot Petals is that the booklets, instructions, and actual supplies are idiot proof.

Don’t end up with feet like Woman X, buy some Foot Petals.

Daily Truffle perk: Get a Free pair of pink heart Tip Toes

What comes inside the handy dandy tin box

I saw this chair and decided that I either  had to have it or had to take a picture of it… It wasn’t for sale, so I just decided to live with taking a picture.

Infinity Sun

Infinity Sun, the only carbon neutral sunless tanning company, provided their famed tanning service for the lucky attendants of the Style Lounge.

The only sunless tanning system that tans you while acting as multi treatment skin care… Yes, I said sunless tanning + skin care, cool right?

This was another great station to have at the Style Lounge because -face it, we all know it- stars get spray tans before award shows, so this was very convienent !

Infinity Sun’s Celebrity clientele: Brooke Burke, winner of “Dancing With the Stars”, Jessica Alba, Giselle Bündchen, Brittany Spears, Paula

Abdul, Adrien Grenier, Lindsay Lohan, David Beckham, etc.

Featured on TV shows: Sunset Tan, Millionaire Matchmaker, Entourage, The Style Network’s “Style Scenes”, E! Entertainment’s Academy awards “48 hour make-over”, Dr 90210, and many other TV shows!

This the new Spa Lite™, a portable spray tanning machine that boasts a unique and stylish design, state-of-the-art technology and 100% recyclable “Bag in the Box” solution.

Reebok

The Reekbok station was very popular on the day that I went.

The big to do with the Reebok station is that they are the original makers of this “gym-in-a-shoe sneaker” that many other brands are now copying (lame). I have worn these around a little and they are really cool because the rounded bottom makes every step you take essentially like walking up a stair. It’s the same principle as the elliptical machines at the gym and this shoe technology was actually originally developed by Reebok in-house scientist. This shoe with brains will minimize the workout and maximize the walking you already do with a sole that forces your muscles to tense and flex with every step you take.

Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) with Reebok

I personally need Reebok Easytone’s because the bottom has spiral cushioning for added comfort and they are supposed to reduce fatigue and activate key leg muscles.  I never run or jog, because when I do, my legs get tired and cramp very easily; I hate exercising, with a passion.

Retro Sport

The guys were so excited to get their favorite sports apparel from the Retro Sport station!

You will no doubt be seeing all the hot guys wearing this collection during the upcoming football games.

Retro Sport is a brand that recreates old collegiate, NFL, NHL, Vintage Minor Leave Baseball, and other sports related t-shirts.

Let me tell you first hand, these t shirts are soo comfy and have the vintage feel that everyone loves.

The funniest pictures of the day definitely were with the Retro Sport Mascot.

Victoria Hervey taking a picture with the Retro Sport mascot

Ashley Jones trying on jewelry from Caselnuovo d’Aiassa Designs

Felicity Huffman trying on jewelry

Paris Hilton asking for a pink Infinity Sun tanning booth

Estella Warren trying on Ice Watches and walking away with a few

Extra TV asking celebs what their thoughts were on Heidi Pratt’s plastic surgery (magazine in hand)

Craig Robinson (The Office) with Ice Watches

Nick Verreos (Project Runway) with Vineyard Vines

Awards Season: It’s officially awards season when Paris Hilton hits a swag suite

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

Paris Hilton opens up awards season by hitting the first gifting lounge of 2010. Take a tour of her gifting day with The Daily Truffle!

Now in her 10th year of attendance, Paris has been attending Kari Feinstein’s pre-award parties since the 20th century. Having pioneered the industry of gifting suits ten years ago when “gifting” was not yet a household name and the only place it was done was in showrooms and in the Oscar gift bags, Kari’s cool connects around town enabled her to make a go of it herself when she was 23, starting a company with a friend to specialize in the first pre-awards show primping party “The Beauty Buffet” and also she operated her events as “The Cabana” for some time, as in “The Cabana at Cannes”, etc. Little has changed since the inception – Paris Hilton”Cabana at Cannes” years ago and is still hitting them up today. Friday, Paris made yet another cameo to pick up the latest and greatest in beauty, fashion and food. I’ve seen Paris at Kari’s Style Lounge during the Emmy’s and Golden Globes and Sundance throughout the years and I think it’s time we give you all a tour of her day a gifting suite and break it down for you from the inside.

PARIS’ VISIT TO THE PRE-GOLDEN GLOBE 2010 STYLE LOUNGE:

Paris’ first stop was at USANA healthcare – a health food company that makes vitamins. We got some cool melatonin from them – NEED MORE SLEEP! USANA Health Sciences develops and manufactures high-quality nutritional supplements, healthy weight-management products, and self-preserving personal-care products. I saw Paris the night before at Gia Coppola’s art show and for her little party-hopping, jet-setting, reality show filming (could she be on the new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills show with her Aunt Kim Richards?), she could probably use a little cellular rejuvenation. Paris loved the USANA customized vitamin packs and picked up a bunch. http://shop.usana.com/

Next stop? Infinity Sun (-less tans!). Perfect for Paris,  Infinity Sun is the world’s only multi-treatment skincare systems based upon High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) turbine engineering. What?!?! Even with my electrical engineering degree from USC, I am still lost. Don’t feel bad if you’re lost too … I think the point is, Paris, the Queen of faux tans, knows what she’s doing. Infinity Sun explained to us their proprietary technology atomizes various treatment lotions into very fine mists, delivering highly customized, high quality skincare and sunless tanning elixirs for the ultimate beautifying experience. (what?! just as long as we’re tan.) Paris was really into Infinity Sun, she wanted her own spray tanning machine in pink.

Paleta Organic Gourmet Meal Delivery service was next. This is a service that DELIVERS organic, nutritious meals to your house – for breakfast, lunch, dinner. They also send snacks and will allow you to customize your diet plan – or leave it to them. Your meals come packaged cute and fresh each day. You leave your “empties” outside your door and they take them back the next morning. If you are on a Burger King budget – read on – but if you spend about $50 on your food every day – and are annoyed with ordering lunch every single damn day from your office and then feeling obligated to pay for your assistant’s lunch too – Paleta may be the way of the future for you.  An Organic, Eco-conscious, Gourmet Meal Delivery Service providing a healthy and happy lifestyle to the greater Los Angeles area. Paris Hilton loved the Paleta meal delivery service! LOVED! http://www.paleta.com/

Retro Sport is something even the guys can get behind – they make sports team apparel for all sports teams in soft cottons you WILL NOT find at Staples center or The Forum. These cute renditions on basic team jerseys and t-shirts are like Ron Herman and Fred Segal went and bought the NBA, NFL and NHL and made collections for each team: http://www.retrosportapparel.com

On to the Reebok station – the most exciting thing Reebok is doing recently is their new Easy Tones sneakers – they are the original makers of this gym-in-a-shoe sneaker that many other brands are now copying (lame). I have worn these around a little and they are really cool because the rounded bottom makes every step you take essentially like walking up a stair. It’s the same principle as the elliptical machines at the gym and this shoe technology was actually originally developed by Reebok in-house scientist. This shoe with brains will minimize the workout and maximize the walking you already do with a sole that forces your muscles to tense and flex with every step you take. http://www.reebok.com/US/#/

Now the fun part – Tacori for jewels! The very controversial concepts of gifting high-priced jewels to celebrities prompted the Internal Revenue Service to set new tax codes for those “gifted” items like this. In some cases, Paris may end up reporting the gift on her 2010 tax return as some sort of weird fees-rendered or gift section of her 1040 – or whatever she fills out.

Dr. Rey’s Shapewear: Dr Robert Rey from “Dr 90210″ on E! has teamed up with Australian lingerie designer Bruno Schiavi to launch a shapewear collection for women. Dr Robert Rey has quickly become one of the entertainment industries most highly sought after beauty and lifestyle experts. His expertise in enhancement surgery combined with Bruno Schiavi’s experience in the lingerie market offers women a unique range of body enhancing shapewear to disguise any imperfection and enhance a woman’s natural assets. Paris does NOT need any of this but I am sure this was one of her favorites booths – lingerie developed by a plastic surgeon? Genius – who would better know how to push up and pull back those things you are always doing with your hands in the mirror? These lingerie sets will makes those retarded poses you hold – with your hands – stick with their threads. http://www.drreyshapewear.com/brands/drrey

Ice Watches: This may have to go on Paris’ tax return too … I’ll keep my fingers crossed her accountants can get her out of this one. Paris picked up a white Ice Watch with these cool square bands that go around them and then took TONS of Ice watches in different colors. http://www.ice-watch.com/

Vivitar cameras, a brand we don’t hear nearly enough about, handed Paris a little camera – with which she IMMEDIATELY started talking pictures of herself. Vain, but cute, I think. Vivitar gave her a camcorder, after Paris said she has “tons” of cameras. LOL. You’re always hearing a lot about Nikon, Canon and Panasonic but this brand, Vivitar puts their money into quality, not ads with Ashton Kutcher taking “cool pix.” LOL. http://www.vivitar.com/

Next Stop: Moni Moni handbags – “Italian Vintage Leather?” You had me at Italian! Imported Italian Leather Handbags by Moni Moni are feminine yet strong, sophisticated yet casual, and luxurious yet practical. Editors, celebrities, and every day women love and appreciate a luxurious imported Italian leather handbag designed to be used in real life. http://www.monimoni.com/

Possibly my FAVORITE thing in the world I was soooooo excited to see!!!  — Foot Petals!!! Stop feet from sliding forward! Stop ugly overhang & toe scrunch with “Tip Toes.” Foot Petals also makes shoes cushions, legwear and footwear. http://www.footpetals.com/

Reebok Easytone makes it look like you’ve burnt hours at the gym – even though you didn’t

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

Reebok’s new EasyTone sneaker lets you take the gym with you. The shoes’ built-in instability balls create micro-instabilities forcing muscles to modify and work harder. Invented by former NASA man, Bill McInnis, who now heads up Advanced Innovations at Reebok. Available on Reebok.com, Lady Foot Locker, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nordstrom, and Sports Chalet for around $99.

This is a reason to celebrate. Celebrities and half of L.A. came out this week for the Beverly Hills launch of the new dream shoe put on by Reebok’s entertainment publicist Kari Feinstein and her partner Mike McGuiness. The Reebok bash was three blocks from the house where I grew up off Coldwater Canyon, just up the boulevard from the Sunset Strip. A purple fever radiated up through the the black fog. Valet came and went. We handed in our keys and detected the maiden signs of celebrities: red carpets, flashes from cameras … and the infamous Andrew Brin.

Photo from DJ Adam12

Andrew is aspersive at the door – His trademark scarves and dope kicks make him a recognizable L.A. icon to all. Andrew would be a doorman in any other metropolis, but here he is an “identity manager”. If that doesn’t reverberate like something that is necessary, then you’ve never thrown a party in L.A. He has a categorized rolodex programmed in his brain that auto-sorts who gets in where, and when, and cross-checks it against the guests they brought and the season of shoe they are wearing.

Beneath the heated lamps, to his right, were the Feinstein-McGuiness girls, ready with lists, walkies, Blackberrys and cigarettes. Feinstein-McGuiness, also known as FMPR, handles much of Hollywood’s best branding and marketing campaigns. On any budget for any brand, FMPR will find a way to make it a hit with celebrities and the Hollywood population. I reflected on my own days as a “Feinstein-McGuiness girl”, although, at that time it was just a “Feinstein girl”. Kari partnered with Mike McGuiness a couple years ago. I worked for Kari for one year and learned more about Hollywood, PR and media than I ever did working at Maverick, E!, Fox studio, and CAA combined. It goes to show that some people just have it …
