Thank you Fuji for keeping the dream alive. Poloroid – the original makers of the instant photo camera can – for some reason – not keep up in the technology boom in cameras in the last decade. HINT: Brand yourselves as the original instant photo camera makers and produce digital cameras that look like Poloroids and build a mini printer with photo paper cartridges to replace the old instant film cartridges. Boom! #winning
Anyway … Fuji has moved into the “poloroid” (which is now used as an adjactive not a proper noun since Poloroid is a quitter) space with their new “Fuji Instax” cameras. C Magazine and my good friend, and fellow Boston University alum, Tait Chatmon-Alvarez help round up troops to shop for a cause. Tait’s previous experience in marketing at Condé Nast and then Gen Art has given her the power to command attention for deserving brands. She recently orchestrated a city-wide product seeding of Pop Chips in which every taste-maker, entertainment agency and celebrity received a giant basket of “popped” (not fried) potato chips! She now handles C magazine’s Marketing and Events and and runs her own marketing/events consulting business. Today I recieved an iFlip in the mail from Hornitos tequilla. Then I got dumped off someone’s facebook page. I dumped two people off mine. Then I sent out an insensitive email and made one guy hate me and another girl cry. I called her to apologize and missed my mom’s call who was waiting to see Public Enemies. I saw my brother walking down Robertson and I followed him. The IRS called to see where my mother’s settlement is. I called my guy at Oppenhiemer to change out my Disney stock. He told me no. I got invited to 12 parties. I ended 6 friendships. My therapist is busy til Thursday. Tennis club memberships are $20,000. I skipped the gym again. I am 133 lbs. Most people dissapoint me. I know it’s my choice in friends.
