My little girl is all grown up!
Dakota Fanning covers this months (January 2010) V magazine with Precious star, Gabourey Sidibe.
“I’ve always been really small, really short, and I’m finally starting to be able to wear a size zero without having to take it in like five inches,” says Dakota Fanning, cover girl for V magazine.
“Now that I’m getting older, I’m finally getting to the point where I can fit into those things,” says the petite 5’3″ star.
And she’s taking on more grown-up roles now too. Besides her turn as the evil vampire Jane in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, she’s playing a wild child rocker complete with girl-on-girl kissing, coke snorting and sexy halter and hot pants costumes in The Runaways, due in theaters March 19.
“I really enjoyed doing that subject matter for the first time in a biopic, because it really happened — it’s not just a made-up story about a 15-year-old running wild,” declares Dakota. “It’s a true story of her evolution from good Valley Girl to bad rock ’n’ roll princess,” she says of her role as Cherie Currie, lead singer of ’70s rock band The Runaways.
As for the kiss with costar Kristen Stewart, who plays rocker Joan Jett, Dakota reveals: “It’s passionate — they were just as close as two could get.”
And the coke? Well, Dakota admits it’s actually crushed B vitamins. “Kristen and I were, like, our hair is gonna grow a lot from these,” she jokes. - Star Magazine
