Audi’s 2010 Super Bowl party: Kellan Lutz, Taylor Lautner, Jessica Alba, Rob Lowe & Hilary Swank

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

I am officially over Sundance, Grammys and the Globes and before I gear up for New York Fashion Week, Valentine’s Day and Oscar week, I think we can all use a much appreciated breathe of fresh air from some down home, salt of the eath, all American, ma and pa, mom’s apple pie, firemen and cowboy, little league and hot dog, Walmart, team spirit, blue states, fly-over states, painted chests and foam fingering, good old fashion FOOTBALL!

Yes it’s Super Bowl Sunday in two days and while the rest of America is gearing up for a day of nachos, beer and cheese, my friends are flying down to Miami in private jets to host and attend the weekend’s hottest parties, sponsored by brands who are vying to get their spot in the sunshine from the 100 Million viewers who tune in. As someone who simply CANNOT pay attention to football unless there are a million other reasons to, I am particularly grateful to Audi, Coach, Cafeina, Tao, Maxim, Venus Williams, Pete Wentz, and Tide Febreeze who have given me something to care about and who understand the art of a good party and thankfully hire the right people to do the inviting! (ehem BNC, Michelle S, Ashlee A, Nick D).

Jessica Alba, Taylor Lautner, Hilary Swank, Kate Walsh, Tinsley Mortimer, Kellan Lutz, Rob Lowe (with his son who he is bringing to the big game on Sunday), Lance Bass, Osi Umenyiora of the New York Giants, and Chad Henne of the Miami Dolphins are all in Miami tonight to attend Audi’s kick off party at the W Hotel in South Beach. They were all shuttled in by Audi Q7 TDI clean diesel SUV – Audi’s new green car. Audi will also feature another new green car – their eco-friendly A3 TDI in a Super Bowl commercial premier during the Super Bowl. FYI – I live (LIVE!!) for commercial premieres! LIVE! The Audi commercial is a tongue-in-cheek spot with an updated classic song by Cheap Trick.

Jessica Alba, who had her daughter Honor is with her, says she’s pulling for the Saints – her father is a longtime Reggie Bush fan. (The little one will not attend the game – the stadium is too big for little girls!)

Kate Walsh and Hilary Swank have an on-going battle to see who could text the fastest – Hilary says she can text with her eyes closed without any mistakes. Lauren Brokaw, a Daily Truffle blogger, can do this too while talking and walking. I’ve seen it, and it is syck! Take that Swank! They should all enter LG’s national texting competition this year. Dorks. http://www.lgtexter.com/

Top 4 Banned Super Bowl Ads of 2010

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

These ads have been called “banned” but really they are just boring and bad. Really. Really. Bad. A Dorito, Go Daddy, ManCrunch.com and KGB commercial have been banned, starting the media hype for the Super Bowl off early this year. Banned Super Bowl Commericals – including the gay website one -are not really too risquee or violent as much as they just really, really suck. Bigger gossip is Audi’s Super Bowl commercial which has a seriously uncoth gaffe where they’ll make a reference to the Green Police, also a well known Nazi reference. Here are the videos for a couple commercials you WONT see Sunday:  Click to Continue Reading

Sneak peak of Tracy Morgan’s Volkswagen 2010 Super Bowl commercial

FacebookTwitterTumblrShare

Tracy Morgan on the set of the Volkswagen Super Bowl ad

My friend just sent me photos off the set of Tracy Morgan’s Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial. She says me the commercial was shot January 22, and airs this Sunday should be “cute and funny!”

Tracy makes a cameo in this ad, showing a variety of ways to play the new “Punch Dub” driving game – an update on the old Punch Buggy game. (Dub is for “V-dub” as in VW).

Tracy demostrates the smacks everytime he sees a Volkswagen model. Volkswagen will debut the “Punch Dub” campaign in a 30-second ad during the third quarter of Super Bowl XLIV and through a new online campaign.

Volkswagen is also revealing that it has found the creator of the original game, Charlie “Sluggy” Patterson. Fans can interact with Sluggy beginning today with a special blog and Twitter feed www.sluggy.posterous.com or and www.twitter.com/sluggypatterson and in a series of videos on You Tube.

An online version of “Punch Dub” (www.facebook.com/vw) will launch on Super Bowl Sunday and will engage people with the entire Volkswagen product family and encourage people to dole out virtual “slugs” to friends and family. Players will simply pick any one of thirteen Volkswagen vehicles, customize their punch and choose a Facebook friend. An online guide will help players develop and hone their punching techniques. The more friends you punch, the better your chances are of winning a weekly prize (6-month leases on specific vehicles listed online) and the Grand Prize: a new Volkswagen CC.

The Super Bowl spot and “Punch Dub” campaign were developed for Volkswagen by its new creative agency, Deutsch LA. For more information on Volkswagen and “Punch Dub”, visit www.media.vw.com.
