Annual Los Angeles Haunted Hayride (Thursdays through Sundays between Oct 7 and Oct 31) at Griffith Park’s Old Zoo – Back for its third year, with VIP night this Sunday, the month long haunted attraction invites guests to “Step Into Our Nightmare.”  With the unprecedented amount of media and celebrity attendance in previous years, Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has upped the ante with this new program, which will be creepier than ever before. Annual DineLA week (October 2 – 7, and 9 – 14) – Our friends working on DineLA, loosely called “Restaurant Week,” have a few key restaurants participating this year and for a fixed rate of $44 you can basically have a dinner worth double the price – Some some Truffle suggestions (some new,  some old) include Mr. C Hotel Restaurant, Fig & Olive, and Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood. Veuve Clicquot Annual Polo Tourney at Will Rogers in the Palisades  (Sunday, October 9) - Invited guests are welcomed into a tent with couches and champagne where some of the world’s most interesting polo players come and mingle between ‘chukkers’ (aka timed periods of play, like an inning). In true Will Rogers spirit, who hosts regular club polo matches on the weekends most of the year, anyone wanting to attend is welcome - Veuve Clicquot will provide picnic style blankets and umbrellas, some bleacher seating, photo booths, food trucks and tented areas where they will sell flutes and bottles of champagne, sun hats and other paraphernalia.
