Delivery! Look what Fuji Film sent us! The “new poloroid camera” from Fuji …

Fuji Film Instax Mini
Thank you Fuji for keeping the dream alive. Poloroid – the original makers of the instant photo camera can – for some reason – not keep up in the technology boom in cameras in the last decade. HINT: Brand yourselves as the original instant photo camera makers and produce digital cameras that look like Poloroids and build a mini printer with photo paper cartridges to replace the old instant film cartridges. Boom! #winning

Anyway … Fuji has moved into the “poloroid” (which is now used as an adjactive not a proper noun since Poloroid is a quitter) space with their new “Fuji Instax” cameras. We got this white one in the mail as a thank you for coming to the Access Hollywood Golden Globes gift lounge last month.  Continue reading

Beverly Hills Women’s Club Holiday Tea with Tiffany & Co.

Beverly Hills Women's Club - Members include Lily Collins, her mother Jill Collins, Barbara Lazaroff and Nancy Krasne, the former Mayor of Beverly Hills

Now that we are finally back from the holidays we wanted to catch you up on a few of our favorite holiday parties. One of the lesser known pearls we have here in Beverly Hills is that of a certain women’s club with good roots and big names. The club dates back to 1916 and is aptly called The Beverly Hills Women’s Club. In this day, all the ladies of Beverly Hills would actually ride their horse to meetings – as did my Great Godmother, from whom my parents bought their first house on Hazen Drive in 1980. Her stories were my first introduction to the club. Continue reading

Fingerprint Communications brings a residential private gym & spa to Beverly Hills – Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat

Publicist Jessica Meisels (Fingerprint Communications) with friend Lindsay Lohan

Last month, Jessica Meisels – founder of Fingerprint Communications, hosted a 3 week physical fitness retreat in the heart of Beverly Hills, just opposite the legendary home of Bob Evans (The Kids Stays in the Picture). Lindsay Lohan and kid sister Ali Lohan came up regularly to Body Box with Gunnar Peterson, who is responsible for Jennifer Lopez and Halle Berry’s famous figures.

Jessica, who appeared on Sir Richard Branson’s reality TV series “Fly Girls,” put together his Virgin America launch party in Los Angeles last year. She was also the brains behind the Malibu Colony Poloroid Beach house, made famous for the enormous amount of celebrity pics snapped by paps from the beach, including Lindsay Lohan who wore an ankle bracelet of a different kind (hint: not for alcohol) to the beach parties of 2007.

Meisels created the concept for the Muscle Milk Fitness Pop-Up Gym & Spa in Beverly Hills to promote and engage the new drink Muscle Milk Light with influential ladies in the press, social spectrum and Hollywood. Continue reading

Carrera Escape party at Chateau Marmont 2010 | Nicole Richie and L.A.’s Young Hot Finest pack the Penthouse

So what did happen in the notorious Penthouse 64 you ask?

Last night The A List and LFB Media Group hosted the sunglass brand Carrera’s Escape party up at the Chateau to promote their shades. We saw a lot of friends, celebs, beautiful skyline and got some pretty cool t-shirts made. Went down stairs for dinner around 9pm where we were waited upon by a Chateau waiter who was fully obsessive compulsive and actually came by to “straighten” my silver wear at one point and bullied us into all ordering the same beverage. Then when the bill came he asked us if we wanted him to put it on three different checks. We said it was fine and we would just split it – he then brought 3 checks with the entire meal including gratuity split three ways. The bill literally read 1/3 shrimp cocktail – $5.44, 1/3 salad chicken added – $4.83, 1/3 gratuity included 15% – $11.87. Weird! I have never seen anything like that! Have you?? Continue reading
