Carven / Resort 2012

Maison de Carven, more than just mildly obsessed. Someone at Carven got into my head Being John Malkovitch style…. Bows on all shoes, floral crowns and braided hair do’s, 60s inspired baby doll dresses and suits… Are you kidding me?? #mylife  Uhh P.S. I’d LOVE to go back in time to the 1960s and bring Mia Farrow some pieces from this collection.

Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu F/W 2011 – Campaign Shot by Bruce Webber

I haven’t seen such an old Hollywood slash classic beauty like kind of LA native* Hailee Steinfeld in a long time. (*Thousand Oaks isn’t LA, but since I love her so I will allow it just this once.)

Nicole Richie’s, House of Harlow 1960, expands into handbags

Nicole Richie can now add hand bag designer to her C.V.  The LA native announced today that come mid July a 14 piece collection including clutches, cross body, and hobo bags will be available at Shopbop, Bergdorf’s, Neiman’s, Nordstrom and fine online e-commerce sites.

Richie, mother of two, designs shoes, jewelry, and sunglasses under the House of Harlow 1960 brand in addition to her flowy bohemian inspired Winter Kate line.

While I am not usually dying for anything HOH, I am def excited for this off shoot as the prices are reasonable for the Alexander McQueen/ Judith Leiber ish detailed style inspiration… with that Nicole Richie aesthetic.

Prices range from $150-625.

I’ll be taking one of each.

What better way to spend Midsummer, the oh so magical Swedish holiday, than to eat, drink, and be merry with Jeremy Scott and Kanon Organic Vodka at the Sunset Marquis Hotel. The North Villa Gardens at the Sunset Marquis were the perfect setting for this ethereal luncheon, honoring the very important Swedish holiday marking the astronomical beginning of Summer which also celebrates fertility, magic, and love. I couldn’t have asked for a better Midsummer thanks to great company, most delicious food (SMH, who knew?!), and specialty drinks for our 3 course luncheon.
