No one loves a fairy tale more than I do (I was an embarrassment to society at Disneyland last week), so you can imagine my happiness that not one but two Snow White movies are coming out in 2012 — with epic costumes and phenomenal directors!  For me, the gorgeous costumes are just as exciting as these fairy tale live action films (we are not discussing or counting the Milificent movie as she terrorized my childhood).

I took it upon myself, as a civic duty, to share stills from the upcoming films because as you will see, the costumes are brilliant and I’m really excited about the director, Tarsem Singh (The Cell & The Fall - a truffle must see), whose proclivity for the most vivid and beautiful signature style is unbelievable.  I’m v excited to see him break into mainstream film world; first up for him is Immortals, out soon! With all the talk that has gone on about Elle Fanning, Chloe Moretz, and Hailee Steinfeld’s individual covers for Katie Grand’s LOVE Magazine, no one has mentioned the most important part! Besides the fact that they are all great actresses, take beautiful pictures, have great style, and whatever, they ALL grew up or were born in LA! …. *Ciao amici! The 400 plus piece Missoni collab with Target hits stores September 13th, 2011. Let’s just say that compared to other Target collabs I will not be waking up very early in the A.M. to snag up the lot of the collection.  The look book shoot abused the famed Italian house’s zig zag motif <<in MY opinion>> However, I do like and will be picking up some of the clothing items and a few of the household accessories. I am a bit afraid that in person some of this stuff will look and feel cheap, but fingers crossed that Target learned from the Rodarte collection #sorryimnotsorry.

I have been partaking in MTV Award events for yearsss, going way back to when they were at Sony Studios in Culver City; boy has it been interesting!  From the days where Dylan’s Candy Bar provided boxes of candy under your seat to Sasha Baron Cohen as (Bruno) landing on Eminem’s face to Travis Barker and Dj AM being the “In House” Djs, I have seen it all.

And yes, there have been orders placed at Barney’s for this redic trendy item! If you MUST, buy a Birkin or Kelly for 9 grand or be smart and just get a nice classic Chanel for 3 grand. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, back packs are back. According to Ashley O, the $39,000 backpack from the Olsen twins’ luxury fashion line The Row was “the first thing that sold off the shelf.” She also noted ”During our last economic crisis in the U.S., the only thing that went up was Hermès … ” that’s why she decided it would work to design a pricey sac.

Nicole Richie’s, House of Harlow 1960, expands into handbags

Nicole Richie can now add hand bag designer to her C.V.  The LA native announced today that come mid July a 14 piece collection including clutches, cross body, and hobo bags will be available at Shopbop, Bergdorf’s, Neiman’s, Nordstrom and fine online e-commerce sites.

Richie, mother of two, designs shoes, jewelry, and sunglasses under the House of Harlow 1960 brand in addition to her flowy bohemian inspired Winter Kate line.

While I am not usually dying for anything HOH, I am def excited for this off shoot as the prices are reasonable for the Alexander McQueen/ Judith Leiber ish detailed style inspiration… with that Nicole Richie aesthetic.

Prices range from $150-625.

I’ll be taking one of each.
