Pitching Scripts and Set Visits Go on the Block at Elite L.A. Grade School

One of our favorite things at the Truffle are auctions — and in our opinion — the JTD auction is an LA highlight. If you are a family at John Thomas Dye or someone looking to promote your product in their next auction — have a look at this link to view some of the truly unique items they have up for bid — including a ‘Kids Movie Pitch’  which is an opportunity to pitch for you and your child to pitch movies ideas to a legit Hollywood producer, movie premiere entrees, golf at members-only country club Hillcrest, a set visit to Darren Aaronosky’s new film, a pass to skip the carpool line (which as any JTD-er or Bel Air resident can attest is a MAJOR perk), front seats at the 2nd seating of the annual Christmas Carols (the important part here was ’2nd’ seating — the money seating), and items like limited edition JTD uniforms for American Girl dolls, and all sorts of other #OnlyinLA items.

The auction started last Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 9 a.m. and goes on through 7 p.m. this Friday, March 9, 2012 — it is technically open only to current JTD families but we know lot’s of our readers are just that or have friends and relatives at the school, or are alumni, so if there is an item you see — make it a point to call them now to place a bid for you …Addtional items include a Magic Johnson-signed basketball, tickets to next week’s Hunger Games Premiere/After-Party, a vet concierge (!), 2 Retrospec Siddhartha Cruiser Bicycles which are very cool, fashion week tickets for Monique L’Hullier, Dodger Dugout Seats, and a 1986 Chateau Mouton Rothschild!!

John Thomas Dye is one of the best educational institutions we have in Los Angeles and all the money goes to support the school (Bel Air rent is also priceless).

Among some of John Thomas Dye’s latest ventures has been a garden where students are now learning how to plant and grow food — a growing new trends in many schools across the US. Stay tuned for details on the annual JTD school fair this May.
