The Audi party last night was succcch a scene … “Fletcher Jones knows how to brand” a friend said while at the round padded bar in the middle of the converted Audi (formerly Beverly Hills BMW) showroom on Wilshire Blvd last night.
Talk about knowing your market — Not only did Fletch invite Audi buyers in his 20 – 40 demographic, he also remembered to invite their kids and parents. Harvard-Westlake alum were turning up with their dads, while current El Rodeo parents brought their kids. The result was a fair with a nightclub atmosphere — and something for everyone.
Four separate areas featured a red carpet with new models in their (pre-owned) lot North of Wilshire, a brightly lit showroom of new model cars in their second showroom South of Wilshire (and Beverly Hills Police Department monitoring the flow of traffic and crossing party goers between the two). Then there is the massive service department — with it’s rafters lit in red, all the cars removed for the night, white lounge areas and Patina charcuterie stations set up along the edges; this is where people meant when they said “I’m going to go back inside the party” … Yet another showroom East of the party was set as a kids gaming party with arts and crafts tables, candy bars and race tracks for toy cars.
Food: Patina mini baguette sandwiches, photo booths, charcuterie stations, bellini bars, shrimp on ice, handmade marshmallows, candy bars and macaron spreads.
Party Perks: Art of Shaving services, manicures, kids party, sneak peek of the new Audi S6, S7, S8 and Allroad models months in advance of their U.S. debuts, and an after party later that night for Audi at Hemmingway’s.
Spotted: Johan de Nysschen (Audi of America President), Beverly Hills Mayor Barry Brucker, Keith May (President, Fletcher Jones), Ted Jones, Fletcher Jones III, the Beverly Hills City Council, the Beverly Hills School Board, the Teen Beverly Hills Education Foundation, Sarah Warda from United Entertainment Group there with Proctor and Gamble client The Art of Shaving (yes, P&G bought them 5 years ago!), Nico Golfar, event DJ Zen Freeman, event producer and BH native Jeff Best, Judy Chang, Brent Bolthouse, Reeve Collins, Four Season’s Kim Kessler, Rudolf Melikoff, Lisa Gild formerly of Angeleno magazine (an event sponsor for the night), Rembrandt Flores, 2.
