Tonight in #LA: Mitt Romney at the Beverly Hills Hotel, G Star opens on Rodeo, and Sherlock Holmes 2 premieres in Westwood — and duh, Morty Coyle’s annual 28th again

Tuesday — LOS ANGELES: Competing soirees tonight should divide the city rather evenly … while the grown ups are heading over to Mitt Romney’s fundraiser at the Beverly Hills hotel — or the pink hotel as some like to call it — the kids will be over at the opening of the new G Star on Rodeo Drive. Elsewhere … our Hollywood contingency will be at the Sherlock Holmes 2 premiere at the Village Regency in Westwood with Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Rachel McAdams. And let’s not forget friend of the Truffle DJ Morty Coyle’s annual 28th again birthday at Canter’s Kibitz Room tonight as well. 10pm. Live music all night. Morty is a long time L.A. DJ on the Tabble Manners label.

Expected guests at Mitt Romey fundraiser: event hosts Eva and Marc Stern (who run the LA Opera), Josh Friedman (hedge fund manager) and his wife Beth, Tracy and Gene Sykes (Goldman Sachs) and event organizer Harry Sloan (former MGM chief who is now an investor). Tickets began at $2,500.
