Arianne Phillips, Fred Hayman, Rose Apodaca, Jeremy Scott, Fred Hayman at The Extraordinary Difference Book Signing at Caulfield's in the Thompson Hotel
Hier Soir … Arianne Phillips and Jeremy Scott hosted a book launch for Rose Apodaca‘s Fred Hayman bio that coincided with the official opening night at Caulfield’s (as in Holden) in The Thompson which has replaced Bond St – and is open as of today. The restaurant’s focal point is a giant mural depicting the Hollywood Ten, a group of blacklisted screenwriters, directors and producers from the 1950s. Caulfield’s is expected to attract the entertainment set from surrounding agencies, and will open an upstairs lounge sometime early next year, and will also be starting a screening series on the roof in the near future.

Truffle approved!
Fred Hayman – The Extraordinary Difference: The Story of Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Glamour and the Showman.
Anyone whose been around for awhile knows Fred Hayman is legit. Two words: Giorgio Perfume. A yellow + white striped shopping bag with red logo was the universal sign of luxury in Beverly Hills. Back in my day, when my dad was seriously in need for forgiveness from my mother, a bottle of Giorgio would do the trick. Some people get a menu item named after them – Fred Hayman got a street.
Fred Hayman and Rose sat courtside signing books, with Katy Sweet (who is handling the book PR) and co-hosts Arianne and Jeremy…. We also spotted: Caulfield’s owners Laurie Mulstay + Ron Marino who have also brought you Magnolia downtown, bar Chloe in Santa Monica, and the Bronson Bar in Hollywood (aka ‘the bar’), Andy Griffith, Rosson Crow, Will Kopelman, Anne Crawford, Roman Alonso, Raven Kauffman, George Kotsiopoulos, Magda Berliner, Des Kohan, Jesse Kamm, Jasmin Shokrian, Claire Cottrell, Alexandra Grant, Corey-Lynn Calter, Tarina Tarantino, Max Padilla, Mike Vargas, Jessie Rubin, Becky Sapp from Wiremage, and more. Linlee Allen has been tapped as the hotel’s Cultural Director (formerly she was the Cultural Director at the Standard Hotels in L.A.).
