Grey Goose x Jason Reitman x George Clooney screen ‘Shampoo’ at Soho House
Warren Beatty and wife Annette Benning joined Jason Reitman this week for Jason’s screening series at the Soho House for the 1978 classic ‘Shampoo’ – the story of Beverly Hills high-society in the late 1960s. Grey Goose sponsored the screening which was followed by a Q+A with Jason and Mr. Beatty. Warren Betty and Jason Reitman talked extensively about the film’Shampoo’, Jason saying it influenced his work on ‘Up in the Air’ (with George Clooney) and said he felt it was the best film ever made about human behavior … He is of course referring mostly to the notorious indiscretion of the characters – a hairdresser, a businessman, a lonely wife, a neglected girlfriend and the high maintenance mistress – in the film.
Friends of Jason from his high school Harvard-Westlake came out - Kevin Parker and Marc Mitchell (a founding partner of Urban Daddy), Nico Golfar and Harrison & Shriftman publicist Jason Wanamaker. For those who haven’t been, the screening room inside the Soho House in Luckman Plaza is one of the highlights of the members-only club and possibly one of the coolest things LA has going for it right now. There are about ten rows with eight oversize red velvet cushy chairs per row, and each comes with it’s own footrest which is actually a box you can open and inside is – of course, leave it to the Soho House – a cashmere blanket and pillow to match. Petite lamps glow on small drink tables between each seat and an adorable “On-Air” sign lights up outside when there is a screening in progress. A+++!

Janes Addiction x John Varvartos listening party
In the room next door to the screening room, Jane’s Addiction band mates Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney along with designer John Varvatos hosted a listening party for Jane’s Addiction latest album “The Great Escape Artist.” The album was played in full and is one of several listening parties in anticipation of the album drop next month.

The following night at Soho House, Moët & Chandon and Belvedere hosted a dinner party Interview magazine Editor-at-Large Christopher Bollen who has a new book out called Lightning People - a tale of post-9/11 New York. Notable guests included: Kate Bosworth, Lisa Love and Bret Easton Ellis.
