Carven / Resort 2012

Maison de Carven, more than just mildly obsessed. Someone at Carven got into my head Being John Malkovitch style…. Bows on all shoes, floral crowns and braided hair do’s, 60s inspired baby doll dresses and suits… Are you kidding me?? #mylife  Uhh P.S. I’d LOVE to go back in time to the 1960s and bring Mia Farrow some pieces from this collection.

LA Moment: Graffiti culture

If you are a true LA native, at some point in your childhood, you had a tag name, sagging pants and a can of spray paint.

Obsession of the Moment: “Betches Love This Site” dot commmmm

Betcheslovethissite.com has been online and hysterically read by all our favorite betches for a while now but they continue to impress … If you have ever felt like there is too much positive influence for women in our society today, this site is your new best friend. “Betches” are girls who are pretty, thin and cool. And if you are a Betch, or even sort of a Betch, you will indeed LOVE this site. They are proficient in all the “abbrevs” you thought only you used, tell you how to handle the “dud” in your group, first dates, landing pros (as opposed to ‘bros’), and more. They explain how to never question yourselfdress like a slut, fulfill your inner desire to be shady, fake smile, avoid working, drink bottled water ONLY, be smarter than everyone else, and more. Obviously their idol is Regina George and even their tagline reads: “So you agree? You think you’re really pretty?” (character and line from Mean Girls for the newcomer).

1980′s Hollywood Agent Voicemails – msgs for C. Thomas Howell, Jami Gertz, Kirk Cameron

In 1986, Warren Klein was the most powerful agent in Hollywood and ranked #74 on Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People of the Year” … here are his lost voicemails.”California Pizza Kitchen … have you heard about this place? Forget everything you know about pizza.” or “Fax me in the car or actually you can call me at this great new place – it’s called Benihana.”

#WeeklyJuice – Rose soft opening on La Cienega, permanent Four Seasons resident RJ Williams has his own salad added to the menu, Vincente chef opens pizza place in BH

  • We love a soft opening, as any good Angeleno knows, these are the prime invites to score, Kamran Pahlavi softly opened Rose on La Cienega last week
  • Four Seasons has a new salad called “The Young Hollywood Salad” designed by RJ Williams, permanent hotel resident and friend of the Truffle
  • The Beverly Wilshire Concierge is now on Twitter and guess what? He’s good!
  • Speaking of Beverly Wilshire, they are planning to open new bar above BLVD – when I first heard this I was thinking it would be where the old GM Penthouse was but this is apparently on the 2nd floor.
  • Pasty and gelato shop Venga is now open on Canon in Beverly Hills
  • The former Michel Richard space on Robertson is now Pizzeria Il Fico – chef Nicola Mastronardi (also of Vincente in Brentwood) and Giuseppe Gentile are behind it
  • Angeleno Magazine’s food event this Sunday - $65 for Truffle friends …
