A Marc Jacobs intern who runs the company Twitter account – @MarcJacobsIntl - went crazy last night on Twitter tweeting:
“My last day is tomorrow. I wouldn’t be tweeting this if not. Won’t work in this town again! I know that! … I don’t have the energy to do what’s expected! … I’m alone in this office having to try and entertain you all. This isn’t easy. I have tried.”
After the entire fashion Twitterverse witnessed the “Twittercide” … the intern’s tweets were deleted at around 1am PST (4am in New York) leaving a noticeable differernce in the # of Tweets … dropping from 3,696 to 3,692.
The intern aggression started Wednesday when Robert (we deduce it’s Robert Duffy, CEO of Marc Jacobs and business partner to Marc Jacobs for 20 years) asked the intern to find a replacement to run the Twitter account. The Marc Jacobs’ intern tweeted:
“I was asked to do this until we found a replacement. … I hate this job. Hope they find someone soon. Robert is so picky! We have presented him with 50 people. He’s not happy.”

I think it’s terrible! So rude he/she would do this!
lol better than Rebecca Black or Charlie Sheen or the UCLA racist!
What a baby! Is being a good speller and grammarian all it takes to handle the Marc Jacobs’ Twitterverse? I could do that from home… yo, Robert or Marc, give me a call…
OMG. The exact reason I tell people NOT to trust their Twitter streams to interns (okay, most interns are probably fine and it’s as close to slave labor as businesses can get), but, wow. Maturity matters on business social media accounts.
It’s entertaining though!
