On Campus: USC News Station Interviews the Photographer behind the Kappa Sigma Sex Tape (VIDEO)

Per the Daily Trojan, the USC Panhellenic and USC Interfraternity councils met tonight to devise an “action plan” to rehabilitate the image of the Greek Community amidst the recent bad exposure of all male fraternity Kappa Sigma.

This follows in response to the obscene email sent on the Kappa Sigma listserv which ended up on every major L.A. news site within 2 days and then photos that surfaced over this past weekend of a Kappa Sigma member having sex on the roof of Waite Phillips Hall.

The email had an intense break down of the 10 categories of women and was riddled with things like “Pumpkin Pie: A latin/mexican target” and “Don’t ____ middle-eastern targets. Exhibit some patriotism … You want your ____ smelling like falafel?”  Continue reading

Obsession of the Moment: Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Private Secretary to Princes William and Harry

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton with William and Harry

With the upcoming nuptials of Will and Kate, here at the Truffle, we have become MUCH more fascinated by Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Private Secretary to Princes William and Harry. Just look how daper he is and according to his Wikipedia entry, the term “secretary” must get lost in translation as Jamie has an incredible background in military, risk management and even narcotics that are way beyond the average resume of a secretary. Twitter Awards: The Bronx Zoo Cobra has over 95,000 followers, 24 hours after joining!

The deadly 22-inch Cobra snake that recently escaped from it’s enclosure at the Bronx Zoo in New York has joined Twitter as @BronxZoosCobra.

The account already has over 95,000 followers although the account itself is only following one Twitterer – @BronxZookeeper – an account that was added at the same time as the Cobra’s on March 28th.

The zookeeper’s first tweet was simply “sh*t” (as in, sh*t, I let the snake loose).

This is viral marketing at it’s finest – if only the Bronx Zoo had thought of it! Or did they?

Too bad for New York @BronxZoosCobra didn’t join Four Square instead!

@BronxZoosCobra has been making hilarious joking threats towards news reporters, celebrities and even the likes of Donald Trump under the hash tag #snakeonthetown …  and the celebs are tweeting right back! See these tweets from the Twitter’s famous faces: Continue reading

This film is on the level where people are having to invent new words for their reviews:

“MAGISTERIAL!” –Hilton Als, The New Yorker

This movie made me cry four times and was fascinating for it’s humor, fashion history and story telling. Bill Cunningham for those who dont know – is the original street photographer. He has been a regularly weekly columnist for decades at the New York Times penning “On The Street” and a social party column. Before that he was a hat maker and shot for Details and WWD. He is as unique as they come for several reasons; here’s why:  Continue reading
