The annual DGA awards usually sets the tone for the Oscar best director each year. This year best feature director went to Tom Hooper for The King’s Speech . After the awards several guests including Darren Aronofsky, Harvey Weinstein, Tom Hooper and Sofia Vergara went from the DGA’s straight to the Entertainmetn Weekly’s pre-SAG Awards Party (presented by L’Oreal) on the terrace of the Chateau Marmont for an intimate party – 300 guests – gathering with cocktails, food buffet and passed appetizers.
This past weekend half of Los Angeles hopped a Southwest flight to Park City, Utah for Robert Redford‘s annual Sundance Film Festival. The weekend was a mix of movies, swag suites, friendly faces, late night parties, skiing, snowboarding and celebrity sightings. Crowded into the newly remodeled Decades Atelier last night was a mad mix of stalwart chic and indie cuties; all here to admire the selection of Red Carpet gowns worn by celebrities at various awards shows.
Looking ab femme in pretty JC Obando mini was Rose Mc Gowan, tho she did accessorize with some killer spiky Louboutins…! Statuesque in a paiette festooned knit dress, Whitney Port took it all in whilst sipping her champy….my fave boho chic gal complete in a sequined spotted caftan (!),of course, who else but Gillian Zinser!
On display was that head turner white jersey Azzaro worn by Diane Lane at the Academy Awards in ’04.

Blogger Jared Eng of JustJared hit the slopes and suites this year at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. We were introduced at the Playstation Greenroom at Silver restaurant on Main Street where he played the newest games.
Jared was also spotted hanging out at The Stella Artois Cafe At The Samsung Galaxy Tab Lift on Friday (January 21) in Park City, Utah. Later on in the weekend Jared hit the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge where he picked up some Rockport boots.

Our friends over at LBF Media teamed up with The BMF Media Group and The A List to handles press and production on several press events, agency brunches, exclusive film dinners & after-parties this year at Sundance 2011 under the umbrella of Carrera Sunglasses Escape. All media was invited to come through and picked a pair of shapes named for Carrera racing … The Carrera Escape was also host to the majority of Sundance film pre parties and post parties so we were in and out of here twice a day. Minimum.
