ET Emmys 2010 Party

Hollywood stopped and stared this weekend as the biggest night in Television took place. TV Execs and starlets alike made mad dashes to much-anticipated parties like the Governor’s Ball and HBO all over town.

I was particularly excited about Entertainment Tonight’s Emmy bash.

I like a party where Andy Gelb is in charge – his guest lists are notoriously tight, so his parties (and that of Slate PR where he transferred after his event reign at PMK/HBH) look like an IMDB cast page … minus a few hiccups this night like Levi Johnson and arguably Kate Gosselin (this seems to have been a town-wide epidemic this Emmys weekend, lol).

I arrived at the site of the party, an old church that is now Vibiana. It was a bit eerie- not going to lie, seeing Cyndi Lauper shimmy and shake like an 18 yr old on what used to be an altar.

Nevertheless, one can’t deny the amazing backdrop the white and gray marble made for the very private concert.

LL Cool J introduced the singer to the crowd that included Lara Spencer (host of The Insider), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Peter Facinelli (Heroes), Ali Fedotowsky (The Bachelorette) and Jeremy London.

As Cyndi belted out the lyrics for every female’s anthem and “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” reverberated from the vaulted ceilings, Jane Krakowski and 30 Rock co-star Judah Friedlander were all smiles and danced the night away along with dads-to-be Neil Patrick Harris and bf David Burtka.

Celebrities and natives like Brandon Davis visited the Neutrogena beauty bar conveniently located inside the venue and camped outside under the cool August breeze.

Grey Goose had two bars inside, one on the patio and passed cocktails.

Guests hit up the Magnolia Bakery stand for their Banana Pudding fix.

I shamefully ate more than my share of the Border Grill fare but rationalized that I probably burned it off before the end of the night as I danced to Sam Ronson’s awesome DJ set.

A catering truck outside handed me (and other departing guests) a Churo on the way out!
