Please sir, I want some MORE !

Rick Bayless’ first restaurant in LA did NOT disappoint….but then again I never thought it would !
How you know Mr. Bayless
• From winning Top Chef Masters
• His show Mexico: One Plate at a Time
• From owning restaurants Frontera Grill*/Topolobampo/ Xoco in Chicago and Frontera Fresco in San Francisco
*Frontera Grill was ranked the third-best casual dining restaurant in the world by the International Herald Tribune
• Competing on Iron Chef America
• Founding member of Chefs Collaborative
• Winner of awards and accolades such as Best New Chef by Food and Wine magazine, 3 James Beard Awards, International Association of Culinary Professionals Chef of the Year, National Julia Child cookbook wards, Who’s Who of American Food and Drink, Humanitarian of the Year IACP, ETC.
My friend, Claudine, and I decided to try Red O last week, as I was dying to eat here since I heard it was opening. Claudine was only in town for a few days and I wanted to be able to have a good meal + drinks + good atmosphere during our dinner…. mission accomplished !
At around 8:30 pm, I didn’t feel like I was in LA anymore, I felt like I was in Spain or Morocco, or somewhere NOT on Melrose AVE, thanks to Gulla Jonsdottir, the AHHMazing designer !
In the next week, I must go back and take a tour because every room has its own style with different furniture, but all staying within the same theme.
