Where to begin! My parents have been going to the VF Oscar party since it started, but this was the first year of my dad and I going to the event at the Sunset Towers (my dad was very sick last year around this time for a few months).  Errr, I kinda miss it at Morton’s…

Anywhoo, I was shocked upon arrival to see how many check points there were to gain entry; It might of been easier to crash “that White House dinner”.

The first few things in chronological order that I remember upon entering the event are as follows:

(Don’t worry, I won’t make you sit here and read about everyone we talked to / everyone I saw)

♥ Talking with long time family friends Mary Hart and Burt Sugarman (their son A.J. will be attending Stanford next year), Barbara Davis (giving us the scoop on the Carousel Ball in October of 2010), and Mickey Rooney with wife Jan.  Also within this time frame we chatted with my fav George Schlatter, Steve Martin, Ryan Phillippe, Sean Penn, Jennifer Hudson, George Hamilton, Zac Efron and Vanessa, Tom Freston and Brian Grazer, and Les Moonves with wife Julie Chen.

♥ Next I took a photo in the VF photo booth, and walked out to see my dad talking with Mary, Vera Wang and Evan Lysacek.  Vera said she and Evan ate at the Chateau before the VF party.  (Brett Ratner was with the Williams sisters behind us).

From here on out, I don’t remember things in chronological order (probably due to my meeting too many people and being in awe of Bradley Cooper‘s amazing hotness and great personality).

Cher Coulter, my former boss, came with client and bff Kate Bosworth, who was in Valentino.  Cher told me they planned on going to Madonna and Demi Moore’s party after VF.  Cher and I agreed that we loved Carrie Mulligan’s dress as well as Diane Kruger’s and Zoe Saldana’s  (to all you haters out there, Zoe dressed as though she is actually a fashionista in the year 2010, unlike Mariah Carey who looks like she could of been at the Oscars 10 years ago…. so not fashion forward).

We spent 45 min or so chatting with old fam friend and former co-chairman of  NBC, Ben Silverman, and his fiance, Jennifer Cuoco (don’t be surprised if you see me and Jennifer as pro golfers soon… we might attempt this at our country club).  Ben and my dad reminisced and talked with friends and clients who passed by; Ben worked for WMA (now WME) for 6 years.

This is the only picture I felt comfortable taking because Ben is a long time family friend, and he wanted to send this to his mommy, who my dad is good friends with.

At one point I realized how funny it was to see such different groups of people opposed to seeing just the regular invitees.  Vera Wang, Carolina Hererra, Diane Von Furstenberg, Georgina Chapman, Tamara Mellon, Tom Ford, stylist Cher Coulter, and Christian Audigier with wife (errrr :-/ ) were there from the fash dept.  Shaun White, Evan Lysacek, Appolo Ohno, Williams sisters, and Buzz Aldrin were there from the Olympic/ sports/ DWTS team.  (Buzz’s wife Lois, who is always dancing and happy, told me she had to leave to get Buzz to bed because he had a very busy week ahead with 4 hour dance rehearsals for DWTS).  Musicians Katy Perry, Jonas Bros, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, P. Diddy, Apl.d.Ap, J.Lo, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Hudson, Robin Thicke, Elton John (came around 12:30) were also there.  Then there were also all the TV stars, lots of ex WMA agents, studio heads, directors, producers, models, comedians, etc.

One of the weirdest things I saw of the night was Eli Roth‘s date, Peaches Geldof.  Totally confused, random pair!  I was also confused watching Jodie Foster and Zoe Kravitz hanging out.  On my way out, I heard Lenny Kravitz thank Jodie for watching out for his daughter (Anton Yelchin was also hanging out with them).

On my way out, I saw Larry David walking back and forth from the entrance into the front door and back out again … fans called out to him and he pretended not to hear them (I still love him though, more than anything).  I had a similar experience while sitting in front of him at the Emmy’s… he complained a lot about not wanting to talk to people. We talked with family friend John Voight while waiting for driver and saw Kathryn Bigelow walking in while Christoph Waltz was right behind her, stopping for a few seconds to show his fans across the street his best supporting actor trophy.
