This Sunday, Harvard-Westlake student Mavis Spencer will host a portion of the Golden Globes, joining a long list of celebrity children to be awarded the honor of has been crowned Miss/Mr Golden Globe since 1963. The title awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is traditionally a daughter or son of a celebrity. Mavis Spencer is the 17 year old daughter of Emmy award winning TV actress Alfre Woodard. The role of Miss Golden Globes assists in the Association’s Golden Globe Awards. Past honorees have included celebrity children Melanie Griffith (1975 – Tippi Hedren and Peter Griffith), Laura Dern (1982 – Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern), Lisabeth Shatner (1985 – William Shatner), Joely Fisher (1992), John Clark Gable (1995), Freddie Prinze, Jr. (1996), Clementine Ford (1998 – Cybill Shepherd), Katie Flynn (2001 – Jane Seymour), A.J.
