Lauren's bathtub

Have I introduced you Daily Truffle readers to Lauren Brokaw yet? I was introduced to Lauren by a friend of a friend a couple months ago and we went to a special sale for Kimberly Ovitz (L.A. native, and daughter of Mike Ovitz) at her showroom inside the Harrison & Shritman’s offices on Sunset. Lauren was wearing lots of ruffles, red lipstick and cool Chanel shoes. She was the only person more excited about the upcoming MOCA gala (in 2010) than I was, the only person who wore more bows than I do and the only person to spend more time in the bath than I have. She too is a Beverly Hills native and knows everyone I know, and everyone I don’t know.  Her father is the longest standing agent in this town, having started in the William Morris mailroom at age 16 and this summer marking his 60th year at the company (now William Morris Endeavor) where he is still an agent. She began to write and contribute and we would share ideas and plan cool stories. It took us a while to realize we’d been having our longest bbm conversations while in our respective bathtubs in Beverly Hills, about 7 blocks apart. We were delighted when we found out it was where we both did our best brainstorming, research and writing. Now we regularly schedule bathtubs bbm meetings all the time! And you thought blogging was all work!!
