British people make me really happy!

Soooo many of my favorite people: Stylists, editors, fashion designers, crushes, creative directors, models, musicians/bands, authors, royalty, and just straight cool people happen to be English. Special condolences from ME, Lauren Brokaw, go to the talented and super cool, Luella Bartley, whose label caught the recession flu and died, November 10th, 2009.

Not only should she be given an award for using bows all of the time and for having the cutest name ever, but she also deserves an award for her creativity, originality, and her mentality of being fearless and a bit kooky.

Unlike other high end designer brands, the customer who wore Luella was all about looking fashion forward and having a good time.

I loved Luella’s collections because they they never copied slash followed any upcoming trends, yet they always felt so current and new.

Something about this brand always screamed I‘m cute, english, and I follow the beat of my own drum, which has made me an “it” girl.
