Quincy, Rashida, Kidada

Rashida Jones (daughter of Quincy Jones) hosts the Tea today for her father’s passion-project charity Peace Games.

C Magazine and my good friend, and fellow Boston University alum, Tait Chatmon-Alvarez help round up troops to shop for a cause. Tait’s previous experience in marketing at Condé Nast and then Gen Art has given her the power to command attention for deserving brands. She recently orchestrated a city-wide product seeding of Pop Chips in which every taste-maker, entertainment agency and celebrity received a giant basket of “popped” (not fried) potato chips! She now handles C magazine’s Marketing and Events and and runs her own marketing/events consulting business. Tait went to the all-girls school, Spence, in New York and is now married living in Venice, Ca with her husband and gorgeous baby – not yet 2.

L.A. Native Rashida Jones graduated from The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks in 1994, and then went onto graduate from Harvard University in 1998. She is currently on Amy Poehler’s “Parks and Recreation” and has recently been in “I Love You, Man” and had a re-occuring role on “The Office.” This Bel-Air native was on People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” list in 2002 and has been romantically linked to Mark Ronson, Tobey Maguire, Josh Hartnett, Seth Meyers, and John Krasinski, her “Office” co-star. Her sister is Disney Jewelry designer Kidada Jones (Buckley, Fairfax ’92, FIDM) and half-siblings include Quincy Jones III, Jolie Jones, Martina Jones, Kenya Jones and Rachel Jones.
