90210 beach club is back

Historically it’s an on-going matter that no one reall goes to the beach in L.A. The water’s cold, the beaches are dirty, there’s no social aspect, and it’s either overcast or time to beat 4pm traffic back home. So the two options for taking advantage of the coastal luck Angelenos have is to buy a house in Malibu for $8,000,000 or join a beach club.

While I was growing up, there were four; The Jonathan Club, The Beach Club, the Bel-Air Bay Club, and until Aaron Spelling took over the lot for the summer scenes of 90210, there was the “Sand & Sea”. After 90210 wrapped, the “Beverly Hills Beach Club” sat empty and ’til Wallis Annenberg, remembering her own childhood days at the Sand & Sea, stepped in with the brilliant idea to make everyone’s experience to the beach a little more pleasant with a public beach club open to everyone.
