Ford Mondeo is a highlight at the New York auto show this year – this is the car James Bond drives Casino Royale and has been available only in Europe. The comparables  in this country are the Ford Fusion and the Ford Fiesta. But we hear future generations of the chic little movie star car will be for sale in U.S.

According to James Bond Lifestyle, the Mondeo used in the James Bond film in 2006 (more than a year before it became commercially available) was constructed and shipped to the Bahamas under a veil of secrecy. Extra Bond features included: keyless entry and a start button, a HMI (Human Machine Interface) instrument display. Standard options will include Adaptive Cruise Control, Interactive Vehicle Dynamics Control and Hill Launch Assist, Sport Pack consisting of a lowered suspension, partly leather interior, and 17- or 18-inch aluminium wheels.
